Best Laid Plans…

14 12 2008

I have been away from this blog for quite some time—months! It almost seemed as if this plan was doomed to be another failed plan. Personal drama and busy RL (real life) kept me from making too many plans.

I participated in NaNoWriMo, about which you can read in my other blog here. The only other plan I have is with Christmas, and I cannot say what is happening with my gifts for fear that someone will stumble across this. However! I will post what my idea is after the gifts are given, and I may even have pictures.

While I don’t really have a “plan” for anything else yet, my creative juices have been stirred by a tea party my church’s women’s group had for our Christmas shindig this year. I cannot wait for warmer weather now, and in a few days, I may reveal more on this. I dearly would like to have a “tea” party (but modified as I don’t like tea), but I will save the gushing for later.

Another thing is that my friend Cassi is now engaged! So congratulations to her and her fiancé. Perhaps I will have weddings plans to blog?

I read an article today about having a frugal Christmas, which included a list of 8 gifts under $15. I was unimpressed with it, and I did not feel the ideas were “breaking the mold.” The first item on the list was a coupon book! How is that something new? Every child in America has made at least one of those in grade school for some holiday (Christmas, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day are probably the ones most often done for it). Anyway, I am thinking of making my own list (maybe with a different dollar amount). There are probably a million articles out there like this, especially now, but I don’t care.

All the Christmas cards are written and in envelopes, just need to be sealed and stamped. Most of my friends’ gifts are bought. I just have family left to do really, so I’m off to ponder what would be great gifts for them.
